Frank saw the yo-yo fly right at him; the surprise he felt made everything seem to move in slow motion. He then felt the toy hit him square between the eyes, causing him to drop Zigzagoon and rub his forehead. "Ow" he said, even though it didn't really hurt him. Frank then saw Neos recall the little furball into a Pokeball, only for it to reappear a few seconds later, just as Neos said. This made Frank smile and chuckle; the little thing had so much energy. Frank then heard the referee say, "Zigzagoon is unable to battle. Round victory goes to Frank!"

Frank then noticed that Neos' expression had gotten serious; clearly he was ready to finish this. Frank then got somewhat suspicious when Neos asked everyone in the front two rows to move back; clearly this next Pokemon was going to be a real fire-starter. However, his suspicion and confusion grew as he saw Neos himself step into the arena. "Neos, what are you doing?" Frank asked honestly; did Neos really expect to fight Frank hand-to-hand?

Frank then heard Neos mutter, "Transform" and instantly Neos' form was surrounded by a bright blue light. It was so bright in fact that Frank had to shield his eyes with his massive forearm. Frank then felt a massive blast of heat; the top layers of his skin dried and cracked. Even though he was part Fire-type, the heat energy being given off was massive. Frank peeked under his arm to see that the field, which was slick and muddy, had now dried completely;the field had returned to its dull, brown-tan shade and was solid. He looked up further to see the most bizarre-looking creature he had ever laid eyes on; it looked like a horse-sized, blood-red fox. There were a few distinguishing characteristics, but the thing that caught Frank's attention was the even more bizarre whip-like arm growing out of this thing's back. It gripped what appeared to be a giant black staff with VERY sharp yellow points.

Frank then heard it, or rather Neos, ask him if they should begin; its voice was far deeper and gruffer than Neos' normal voice, it sounded a lot like the Bio-Brawler Frank faced at the Pokemon Center. Frank looked to his to see that the referee had retreated far into the upper levels of the stadium, shouting "Begin!" in an obviously nervous tone as he downed giant cup after giant cup of water; understandable seeing as he didn't the same heat tolerance that Frank had, the poor guy's entire front was drenched in sweat and it looked like he had a moderate case of sunburn. Frank then looked back at Neos and clenched his fists, saying in a very determined tone, "Let's." He then charged Neos, ignoring the building heat as he aimed a hard kick at Neos' now-elongated face.

Gripping the ground with all four sets of claws, Neos lowered his muzzle and brought his staff vertically in front of him, forcing the kick to stop dead in its tracks when the foot hooked around the pole and got itself caught in place.

"You'll have to do better than that," were the words that came out before yanking the staff closer, dragging the foot and Frank with it. When close enough, the strange creature dropped the staff and grabbed for Frank's lifted foot, hoping to fling the Brawler himself straight up into the air.

(Short postie, but oh, well. BTW, Neos now sounds a lot like this: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Frank saw Neos bring the giant staff and block his kick; he somehow realized that this creature that Neos transformed into was going to be a tough fight. His foot then slipped, getting locked around the giant shaft.

He then felt Neos yank the weapon and him closer, then saw the back-arm reach down and go for his foot. He tried to evade it, but it was too late; he was getting tired from trying to suppress his Berserker state from overtaking him. The exhaustion was getting to him, and he knew he was slipping deeper and deeper into insanity. "Just be glad you aren't fighting me when I'm at full strength" Frank said in reply as Neos grabbed hold of his foot. He tried to pry it off of himself, but it had an iron grip him.

(BTW, how did Frank's foot hook around the pole?)

(I was using 'pole' as another word for 'staff'. Neos had the staff positioned so that when Frank swung with the kick, the foot would go around the pole, but cause the ankle area to hit it, therefore hooking his foot.)

"Hope you like flying."

Foot first, Neos turned around and reared up before launching the brawler straight up into the sky as soon as the creature grabbed hold of the ankle. Compared to the amount of heat Neos was giving off, the tip of the whip-arm didn't feel as hot at all.

After the launch, Neos used his four-paw traction to jump from one of the arena walls to launch himself up into the air, snatching his staff along the way and readying himself to slam Frank back down to the ground with it.

(Ah, I see. And I hate you right now XD lol jk)

Frank kept trying to pry it off, but to no avail. He then heard Neos mention something about flying. All Frank thought was "Oh, shit" before he felt himself suddenly get whipped upwards. He felt the back-arm release his ankle and at that moment, he rocketed into the sky, shouting "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!" as he went ever higher. He recovered in the air, turning over to see that the arena now looked REALLY small.

Frank then saw Neos launch himself up to where Frank was. He also noticed that Neos had that damn staff again. When Neos reached him, Frank realized he was too far out of range to do anything. So all he could was brace himself for the incoming strike.

With a loud crack, the staff was brought down and connected with Frank's back, forcing the brawler to go down toward the ground even faster than he had gone up. Making himself more streamline, Neos allowed himself to shoot down even faster than Frank, ready for aerial combat, should it present itself.

Claws out, Neos positioned himself so that he could hook himself around the brawler, hopefully making it impossible for him to move until the last split-second.

Frank felt the massive staff hit him square in the back; he was now flying down, the arena getting rapidly larger as he descended. He turned over as he shot down so that his back would face the floor when he hit it. He saw Neos getting ever closer, giant claws coming out of his paw. "Damn it all" Frank said as Neos was right on top of him.

Frank readied himself, but saw that Neos had closed his claws around. "Fuck!" Frank shouted, and tried to get out of Neos' claws, but then he felt his body hit the ground hard, creating a rather impressive crater. "AAAAAGH!" he screamed as the combined forces of his hitting the rocky floor and Neos' weight driving into his body sandwiched him. Frank felt his focus slipping; if he received any more massive damage, the Blood Savage stage would activate. "I ain't gonna lose, not to you, Neos." he choked out

In this new form, Neos began to smell something different about Frank, as if another source of fire would emerge from him and soon if he lost control. Slightly alarmed by this, he jumped off the brawler and poised himself for another strike, resembling that of a scorpion ready to sting its prey.

As of right now, the form Neos took was a creature of reaction. If something happened, he would always react to that something, but nothing more.

Frank felt Neos get off him; he wondered as to what could have caused him to get off. Could Neos smell that he was losing control of himself? **** did feel the Blood Savage stage begin to creep up on him, but he managed to suppress it so far.

Frank grunted as he rose; he was incredibly sore from hitting the ground so hard, and he was sure a few of his bones were broken. But, being a predominately Ground-type Brawler, his genetic tendency of stubbornness was ever prevalent. Now standing on two feet but grunting heavily, he said with a smile, "Whatsa matter, scared? Come on, let's play some more, I won't bite." He then chuckled as he added, "Much."

The smell was getting really, really distracting.

Neos couldn't help but keep twitching his nose at the heavy acidic smell that kept getting stronger and more potent. After a second or two, he just put a paw over his nose to try to block out the smell. "Did you know you sometimes put out a foul odor during battle? Now I have to burn the smell out." With this, he tossed the staff up slightly so that now it was held at one of the two ends before spinning it above his head, catching the staff on fire from the swift motions. In an cross-pattern toward Frank did Neos send the flames forward, the flames extinguished from the staff on the second swing.

The fire did help to burn the smell away enough to lower the paw, though it was still there...

Frank heard Neos comment about his odor; he assumed that Neos could smell his slow transformation into the Blood Savage. Frank scowled as he replied, "You don't exactly smell like a bed of roses, either." He then readied himself to attack Neos.

However, his plans were foiled as Neos immediately sent an X-shaped flame attack directly at him. Frank, being a bit slow to react at this point, could only cross his arms in front of him to block the attack. He stood his ground as he felt the fire engulf him; causing second-degree surface burns to appear on his skin. Luckily, it didn't hurt him too much as his skin was extremely tough and resilient.

Frank's nostrils cringed at the new smell of burning flesh, causing him to say with a sly grin, "Well, now I do smell bad. You're gonna pay for that." With that he launched his tired body directly at Neos, landing a fairly hard kick on Neos' fox-jaw.

Despite being tired, Frank managed to land a swift one in the muzzle, causing him to go backwards into a flip as he swung the staff forward blindly in an attempt to regain his balance swiftly and land a strike on his foe.

Back on his paws, Neos felt an odd taste in his mouth and licked his teeth a couple of times to try and identify what it was. Apparently, he chomped the inside of his mouth on accident when he was punched. At this realization, he began to growl and poised the staff as if it was a scorpion's stinger just before causing it to glow with a white light that was pulled in from the air.

If Frank didn't act fast, he was going to be nailed with an intensely-focused Solarbeam.

Frank saw Neos lick his chops; he knew that Neos would be pissed. However, he then felt a sharp pain in his knee and crumpled. He felt his knee, but didn't feel a break or fracture. It was probably a sprain, but he couldn't move his knee for whatever reason.

He then heard Neos growl; he was still in fairly close proximity to Neos, so the heat was still extremely intense. Frank then saw the staff glow bright ; Frank recognized it as a Solar-beam style attack. He tried to move, but he couldn't. He could only brace himself for the incoming strike.

The tip of the staff trained on Frank as the staff glowed brighter and brighter, it was two seconds before the light was fired in the form of a wide beam at Frank, encasing the Brawler in pure harsh light.

The blast of the light has the force of a cannon, causing Neos to move backwards and create tracks where his paws moved across the ground.

Frank looked up as he saw the light on the ground grow brighter around him; the entire staff that Neos held glowed a bright white. "Oh, fuck" was all Frank thought before a beam of energy encased his entire body. He felt the energy sear his skin, causing him to howl as he blacked out from the pain. When the smoke from the explosion cleared, Frank was seen just lying there, unconscious.

Then, Frank slowly reawakened, only it wasn't really him. The attack Neos unleashed finally pushed Frank over the edge, causing the Blood Savage state to activate in all its primal fury. Frank shot up, landing a fullpower punch into Neos' jaw, feeling the bones bend slightly under the impact. Frank now stood on two feet, grunting heavily and emitting a low, tiger-like growl.

Whereas the first instinct was survival for Frank, his mind now had only one objective as he laid his blood-red, gold-irised eyes on Neos....

"Ee, cripe."

Another swift one to the jaw and he flew back another couple of feet, though this time the fire beast did not wind up pulling a flip in the air. Getting back onto his feet, the fiery acidic smell hit his nose harder than the punch, making it difficult for him to breath.

"Okay, that's it," he said with a gasp before pulling his staff close to his back. In a flash of fire, his form went from solid flesh to pure flame with the fire from his paws spreading throughout the entire arena floor.

At least the smell was gone now.

Frank only growled as Neos faced him again; he yelped slightly as the fire spread to his feet. He threw out chest and let a primal howl, he then charged Neos, swinging his fists wildly as he tried to punch Neos.

The punches seemed to go through the flames that now made the fire fox, not landing solid punches on the creature. Making the forepaws and the tip of the whiparm enter a semi-solid state, Neos lifted up to his hindpaws and aimed three flame-lit punches at the Brawler.

The arena was hot enough as is, adding three Fire Punches to the mix was just overkill.

Frank was getting pissed; his punches seemed to be having no effect on the flaming fox. As Neos lifted himself onto his hindpaws, Frank followed his primal instincts and retreated, unsure of what was going to happen. He then saw and felt the three flaming fists connect. His skin blackened; he could feel his insides starting to boil. He howled in pain as the charring went deep into his skin.

After the attack subsided, Frank's entire body was blackened to a crisp. He, however, soon banished the pain as the urge to kill now completely consumed him. He moved his arms, causing the blackened skin to fall off in chunks. He then took a step further by pounding his large fists into every part of his body, causing even more of his blackened skin to fall and disintegrate into ashes. It got to such a point that bone started to show in a few places. However, thanks to the effect of going into the Blood Savage state, the skin started regenerating almost instantly. Soon the flesh that had fallen off was instantly healed; it literally grew back in a matter of seconds.

Frank then let out another howl and drove both his fists into the semi-molten ground, picking an extremely large piece of battlefield bigger than Neos' fiery form. He then gave a small leap and brought the huge down on top of him.

Neos couldn't help but look at the Brawler with a raised furry eyebrow as Frank broke off the charred parts of flesh off of him while new flesh grew back immediately. The fire beast knew that he healed quickly surrounded by fire as he was now, but not as fast as Frank was now.

His emerald eyes went wide as he saw Frank lift up a considerable amount of lit earth before watching it be sent flying toward him. Fortunately for him, foxes were agile creatures.

Jumping up and landing on top of the launched earth, he rode it until the ground collided with the side of the arena. Only then did he jump off.

The absence of flame in that spot did now concern him, especially since3 he only let out that much flame when becoming pure flame...

Now Frank may be in a total primal state, but he still had a shred of rationality. He noticed that Neos hated dirt, no surprise considering dirt could be used to put out fire. However, this was not Frank's thought process. Smiling and chuckling deeply, he then let out another howl as he drove his powerful fists into the semi-molten earth, ripping large chunks out of the ground and hurling them right at Neos.

If Frank was right, the boulder barrage would create enough of a problem for Neos for Frank to do some serious damage.

Just trying to dodge the incoming stone barrage would not work in this case, the rocks were too many and too close together to try in his current form.

"Transform!" It was a clear cry as the beast became surrounded with blue energy before becoming smaller then growing to human size, reappearing in his human form faster than any shape-shifter normally could change. Bluish orbs of energy appeared in each hand before throwing them into the flying spikes, watching as the spheres bounced among them and either knocked the raised earth into the ground or flying clear out of the arena.

The shape-shifting human looked as if he had been through shit. His clothes were torn to rags and his hat was gone. Neon-green eyes were trained on their opponent as he found himself breathing hard, scars appearing all over the visible parts of his skin.

He knew something was wrong, but he couldn't figure out what. "Frank, what the hell?! You could have killed people in the audience with that stunt!" He found himself among the flames his past form had created, but Neos had trained himself to work with the flames in case of a forced Transformation.

Frank grunted heavily as he saw the stones he tossed had no effect on the reverted Neos, angering him even more. He threw his chest out and let out an incredibly loud primal roar, which caused most of the audience members to cover their ears in pain, driving his powerful fists into the earth as he charged Neos.

He effortlessly charged through what small portions were still aflame and lowered his shoulder into Neos, driving him with all his Brawlers strength into the arena wall. Frank felt a few bones break in Neos' body, the sound brought him instant glee for he knew that he had won. One thing was for sure, if something didn't happen soon, there might not be an arena left to hold a tournament and they might have the first Trainer/Coordinator death in history.

(Good song, right here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Nothing like fan-made songs about the games people play. :3 )

Hidden from view by the flames, Gardevoir watched the battle from the arena entrance underneath the audience seats, fearing for the lives of both combatants after seeing the flames spread over the ground. As Frank began his most-recent charge, Gardevoir watched as Neos tried to get out of the way, but it was apparent he had a lower damage threshold than Frank since he wound up flattened against the arena wall.

The collision with the arena wall was enough to knock him out. Neos was surrounded with another bluish glow that only seemed to become smaller, leaving behind the form of a pinkish blob covered in scorch marks, scars and bruises as a white Pokeball hit the ground and rolled a little bit away. Frank's target was neutralized for the moment and the Empathy Pokemon could tell that this wasn't good.

Placing her hands together, she began to pray to the Powers that Be for intervention, hoping that no others would become harmed by the enduring rage that she could feel coming from the Brawler. The flames began to disappear, the arena began to restore itself to wholeness. The pink blob found itself opening neon-green eyes as Frank was surrounded by a purple psychic bubble that brute force could not break.

"Di..." It had no idea what was going on to make the whole arena to start reversing the damage dealt to the place until taking notice that some of the scars and wounds were starting to disappear. "...to?" Looking around to find any sort of explanation as to what was happening, the shape-shifter found Gardevoir making her wish while an unusual aura surrounded her shaped in the form of a particular Pokemon God. Dialga, the Pokemon God of Time, was answering her prayer.

Frank saw Neos crumple after he leveled into him with his shoulder. Neos then was surrounded with a bright blue glow and slowly transformed into a pink, amorphous blob.
